We are a Christian based non profit organization seeking to share with all who come within our doors our Christian motivation for ministry and the compelling call of God for each of us to know him deeply. Harbor House’s ministry strives to respond holistically to the needs of our community and the individuals which comprise it.

Through our programs we seek justice in our community and reconciliation with God through God’s redemptive love for us. The following are some of the programs we offer in spiritual development.

Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is offered to individuals and families through our chaplaincy program. Ordained ministers serve on-site as chaplains providing pastoral care to adults and youth. Counseling sessions are both drop-in and by appointment.

Bible Study

Youth Bible Studies are offered to youth. Optional participation in Bible Studies provides youth with the opportunity to learn about the Christian faith. Through scripture study youth explore their purpose in life, learn of the biblical understanding of God’s loving activity in the cosmos and the importance of loving God and one’s neighbor.

Urban Study

We offer opportunities for individuals and groups to work with us and to learn about the urban environment that we serve. Participants receive theological reflection on urban issues, while working on projects or in programs at Harbor House. Urban study sessions range from one day to two weeks. Lodging and meals can be included in the program. A participation fee is required. Contact us for details on the program.
