Adult ESL (English as a Second Language) Classes

Our ESL classes are designed to serve people with less than 3 years of education in their own country. Students typically come from Southeast Asia and Latin America. We have worked with this population using innovative curricula developed at Harbor House for over 30 years.

We participate in the California Department of Education EL Civics grant which funds programs that connect students to their larger community through curricula that is relevant to the learner. Here are some examples of our classes and curricula offered over the years:
