Harbor House serves families in our community by offering three-day supplies of balanced, nutritional food. Families receive a clothing outfit for each member of the family on an as-needed basis — sometimes for special needs, such as a job interview. The Harbor House Thrift Store also offers very affordable quality clothing for sale.

Families call or come to our office to make appointments for food and/or clothing, with a limit of three appointments a year for individual families. At the appointment, we discuss the family’s needs and refer people to a variety of other services in the area (including those at Harbor House). Clients can make an appointment with a chaplain on staff with Harbor House if they need to talk, pray, or otherwise need a shoulder to lean on.

Dedicated volunteers bag and sort groceries and interact with our clients.

Emergency Food services provided a three-day supply of nutritionally balanced groceries for 905 families, 1071 adults and 791 children in 2006.
