Inner-City Expressions
InnerCity Expressions is a project launched in 1997 to expose youth to business skills related to graphic design and publishing. While assisting in the design of publications reflecting the beauty and diversity of Oakland, youth train in graphic design, graphics software, marketing, printing, photography, interviewing, and writing. Volunteer professionals assist the InnerCity Expressions manager by providing on-the-job mentoring, worksite tours, and career counseling. InnerCity Expressions is currently on hold while Harbor House staff focus on core strategies in youth outreach.
