Harbor House’s 35th Anniversary

On October 11, 2007, we celebrated Harbor House’s 35th Anniversary! During the celebration, we ate delicious food served by Harbor House youth, held our silent auction, set our eyes upon stunning quilts created by the participants in our quilting program, enjoyed fellowship, fun, and an inspiring program.

Dr. Tony Campolo, our keynote speaker, made us laugh, cry, reflect and sing! Most of all, he spurred us on to serve. Do the work! Jesus did the work! He challenged us: are we teaching our kids to finish school so they can go to college? For what? So they can get a good job? For what? So they can make a lot of money? For what? So they can have a lot of nice things and live in a nice place? No! We should be teaching them to become equipped to serve their brothers and sisters in Christ. Get a good education in order to be smart and creative in serving with the community.
